to the vet again

I took Rufus to his regular vet this morning, and didn't get to work until 11:00. They were running slowly, as usual. I didn't have an appointment, though. I had to postpone a meeting with a 'user' this morning at 8:00. Luckily she's a crazy cat lady, too. I think she said she has 6. The vet took blood and urine (to recheck). She said he seemed tender around his tail, as if he'd been bittten or fallen and bumped it somehow. She had to express his anal glands. I know with Buzz that they didn't express because he couldn't groom well there (fatty), but Rufus doesn't have that problem. She said it could have made him not eat, too. Who knows?

Baby's levels are stable, and she'll call me with Buzz and Rufus' results this afternoon. And that was your cat health update. Check back later when they have to get a loan to pay all the vet bills.

Vet rant - you'd think with the fees they charge, they could afford to replace the two dot matrix printers they're using in the lobby. I doubt the noise from those helps to calm their already agitated patients.

From Allure, February 2006:

Gemini
The past few months at the office have been tough, but if anyone cam learn from experience, it's a Gemini. Mars enters your sign on the 17th, and this is your cue to show superiors that you're focused. Expect to regain your footing over the next seven and a half weeks. You may even come out ahead.
