funny ha ha

jesusfuckingchrist.

I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down,
Livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town,
I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime,
But is there because he's a victim of the times...
Ah, I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything's OK,
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black.

The Friday Five on Friday. Can you believe it?

1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?

Only my last name changed when I got married 12 years ago. My married name rhymes with my maiden name, hence no hyphenation. It would have sounded sort of like a cat coughing up a hairball.

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?

I'm relatively happy with my full name. I can't see myself being called anything else.

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)

My mother wanted to name me Danielle, but my dad didn't like that. I'm not sure where he got my name. Coincidentally, she named my half sister Danielle.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?

I like Olivia (daughter of a friend of my dad's), Dalton (my dad/granddad/great-granddad's name), Leigh (only that spelling, not the other), Christina, Tori (of course), Vanessa (no, it's not like Tiffany, Brittany, Courtney, et al), ah, that's all I can think of now.

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com accurate? How or how isn't it?

Your name of Christy gives you a very happy-go-lucky, spontaneous nature. You see the humorous side of many situations and can laugh at yourself as well as at others. This name gives you a musical, artistic nature and you would do well in any occupation in the entertainment field. You have many friends because of your generous, happy nature, but if crossed you have a quick temper, although your annoyance does not last too long. You do enjoy an argument and will at times say things just to get others going and then you sit back and enjoy the debate. You lack system and order and find it very difficult to budget and save money. This name creates a nature that can be the life of the party, but many times you can become involved in emotional situations against your better judgment. Your compassionate nature causes you to be too generous and you often give more than you can afford to.

I don't know how "happy-go-lucky" I am, but I usually do see the humorous side of things. I'm not musical and artistic, more logical and analytical. I do have a passion for music. I don't have "many" friends, but I do have a quick temper (for the most part). I do like debate, but I don't have a problem with money. No, I don't have any saved. That's not because I can't. I just haven't tried. I do have a 401k.

I think my Gemini traits cancel out half the traits listed here.

Go give missleigh encouragement and make her laugh.
