What? I didn't mention that? Oh, yeah. I had left the computer on for a while and returned to it. The screen saver was on, so I moved the mouse to get back to the desktop. The monitor started clicking like it was trying to come back on, then there was a spffft sound, then it smelled like burning. I think I handled it pretty well. I didn't throw anything like I wanted to. I didn't have a coniption. I did borrow one from work, and looked into new ones. I can't afford an LCD one right now. I'll either use the work one until I get a complete new system in a year or two, or until I find a new one to buy.

I was kind of expecting it, anyway. The thing had been sounding like an old TV set for a while. It'd make this tinny sound when it was turned on or off, and a high pitch sound every now and then.
